From the Abbey is dedicated to helping Catholic adults rediscover the joy of learning and living the faith. The Teaching the Way of Love progam for Catholic parents is one of the many projects through which we do this. Each year Alice Heinzen and I put on a webinar series to help Catholic parents embrace their role as the primary educators of their children.
This year’s webinar series- called “Necessary Conversations” – equips parents to have conversations with their sons and daughters about important, difficult and “touchy” topics. Last month’s webinar explained how God’s plan for sex and chastity is actually good news. It was a great webinar – and the replay is available!
On Monday, November 11th at 8 pm, we’ll be talking about how to understand our culture’s “gender ideology” from a Catholic perspective. The culture’s campaign on gender identity is very confusing because it says that you can’t trust the physical reality of your own body. Is this really true?
